I’ve been a wrestling fan since I was a young boy in primary school and have always followed the WWE. The reason why I love wrestling is because it's fun and entertaining. My favourite wrestlers are The Rock and John Cena, and I’m going to tell you all why I like and respect John Cena.
I’ve been a fan and supporter of John Cena for about 8 years, and have always respected him when others chose not to. The reason I respect him is because of the way he talks about his love & passion for the wrestling industry, and has always said that he wrestles not for the money but for the moment.

He has always had a great fan base, but over the past few years I have started to hear a lot of people in the WWE Universe voice their dislike for him. To me it is downright out of order the way he is treated by some crowds at WWE events, you can always hear them chanting “Cena Sucks” as well as booing him, I have also seen some people in the past few years go out there way to buy t-shirts that show their hate for him and make signs expressing their dislike for him.
No matter how many people I hear talk bad about him I’ll always back him up and tell them what I think about their disrespect for a man who has been around in the WWE for the past 12 years, that is still standing doing what he does best when other wrestlers would have packed their bags and went home, and found something else that could line their pockets. He puts all his energy into entertaining the WWE Universe night after night for the best part of decade, he hasn't stopped saying & doing what he loves, and that is to entertain.

He also does a lot of work for charities including Make-A-Wish foundation. Cena has granted the most wishes than any other celebrity in the planet. He has granted hundreds of wishes for children with an illness or disability, which has helped them enjoy the life they have, by giving them a special moment to remember. I think this just shows you how good a person he really is, I also think a lot of up and coming wrestlers, athletes and actors need to take a leaf out of his book, as there are not very many people out there like him, and this world could do with more people like John Cena.
No matter what happens in the future I will always be a fan of John Cena and always respect him for what he has done in the WWE & around the world. He is definitely a WWE legend and I’m very sure that in the near future he'll be inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame, alongside the other legends that have graced this industry. May he still be around for years to come, making lots of great memories for the WWE.

John Cena, the 14- time world champion, the face of the WWE who is loved by millions and millions...of kids that is. Despite being the so called ‘face of the WWE’, Cena is not respected by fans that have reached puberty.
I can’t tell you much about Cena career when he started as I didn’t watch wrestling when he joined the WWE. All I can tell you is that his gimmick was a white rapper from Boston. But when I started watching again, I saw him as this G.I Joe type dude, who was the WWE Champion. I was confused when I first saw him, he was the face of the company, he was the WWE champ, he was the guy that we’re all supposed to cheer, but all the fans did was boo.
So why is it he sucks you ask? Good question and I’m going to tell you why I think he sucks.

Its simple reasons really why he sucks, the first being he can’t wrestle, he only knows like five moves, if Cena ever has a great match it’s because he is in the ring with someone who knows how to wrestle. His matches with Shawn Michaels, Triple H, CM Punk, Edge, and Kurt Angle were all great matches’ cause of these guys. If anyone says that Cena has always had great matches, I would go Batista, Big Show, The Miz, Randy Orton, and Big Show again. These matches with these guys have to be to some of the worst worked matches and feuds of all time.
Second reason why I think he sucks is that he is just so bad at acting. There been so many times when I watch Raw and see Cena doing over the top promos, first he plays the comedy goof then he immediately turns and does a super serious voice. Now this may not all be his fault with his promos, as the WWE is now a PG show, meaning no profanity is allowed anymore. I'm ok with it being PG, cause there is ways around it, but Cena is a company guy, and he is going say whatever the WWE want him to say in happy friendly PG way, and this sucks. I know Cena can deliver awesome promos, but being the face of the company, he cant do that. Instead he just says things like "Baloney Fudge and Mustard"...seriously Cena said this on live TV.

Third reason is that he never sells the moves. His no-selling has gone so over the top that its just destroys the match and ruins the rest of the show by killing the realism. I remember seeing Cena getting attacked from behind with a chair by CM Punk, only to get up from it about 15 seconds later.
Or when the Big Show put him through a giant lighting rig, only to appear the next again night without any injuries. These are just a few example of him no selling, but they are plenty of more examples out there.
I know Cena's character is just like Hulk Hogan, they play this large superman gimmick, that take multiple big moves only to kick out of them. The difference is when Hogan was doing these similar actions it was ok, because it was at different era when wrestling was like a cartoon. But wrestling has changed since the 80's, fans grew tired of Hogan and that style of wrestling, this is the era of realism, but Cena just hasn't seemed to click onto that yet.

Fourth reason is that he buries other stars, there has been countless times when Cena has faced new young superstars, only to squash them in matches and their careers. Biggest example of this is The Nexus. The Nexus were a group of young wrestlers, who terrorised the WWE locker room, the group was similar to the NWO, and fans were overjoy with seeing them trying to match or better what the NWO did. However Cena got in the way of this by defeating Nexus all on his own, destroying all the momentum they had.
Reason number five is that he always wins even when he shouldn't. Again I know Cena is the poster boy for WWE, he makes them a ton of money, but we get fed with him always winning. Like I just talked about the Nexus, Cena should never had beaten them, it just killed them. The same goes for Alberto Del Rio who just won the WWE title only to lose to Cena a month later, which Del Rio then re-won in a Triple Threat match with Punk, who was the guy that got pinned, not Cena. But what was the point of this, nobody cares at the fact that it adds more to Cena's record, it made Del Rio look week, and a worthless champion.

I'm going to end by saying what Cena has to do to get the fans to respect him again. For too long now Cena has played the same role, taking up all the time, boring us with his presence. What Cena has to do is turn heel. Its that simple. Its the same thing with any superstar when the get boring, the re-invent themselves, its what Hogan did when fans turned on him, he formed the villainous NWO and fans loved him again. But it's never going to happen because he make the WWE too much money, and they won't get as much publicity anymore for all the charity work he does, which is the only thing I do respect about him...but I just don't respect what he does in the ring.
